A 15 year-old girl has been charged in the death of 19 year-old Hailey Belanger-Weeseekase.

Last Saturday (July 11th), at 3:34 p.m., Saskatoon police found Belanger-Weeseekase dead, in a vehicle, in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive.

Based on the results of an autopsy the death was considered a homicide.

The 15 year-old girl was arrested this Friday morning at the Kilburn Hall Youth Center, where she was being remanded on unrelated charges. It is believed that the victim and the accused were known to each other. The Major Crime Section continues to investigate this incident.

The 15 year-old girl is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. She is charged with second degree murder.
