The Water Security Agency says some parts of Saskatchewan can expect high river and lake levels for the remainder of the summer and in some cases into the fall and winter.
Flows and levels in the lower Churchill River, Reindeer River and Churchill River near Sandy Bay are expected to exceed previous historical highs.
Cumberland House is expected to peak on Wednesday, July 22nd. Ile a la Crosse is expected to peak near July 25th, Lac La Ronge near August 9th, Sandy Bay is projected to see peak flows August 13th. Up to 10 millimetres of rain is expected in the Churchill River basin Monday and another 20 mm is possible mid-week.
The WSA says cumulative rainfall since April 1st this year in the Churchill River Basin is near record.
