If you’ve had anyone door knocking drumming up donations, they shouldn’t have been, until now.
The Government of Saskatchewan announced that as of Tuesday door to door canvassing and sales are allowed as long as physical distancing is to be maintained when visiting a home.
The usual guidelines apply like frequent hand washing and no sharing of common materials like pens.
Anyone going to yard and garage sales have to observe gathering size according to the current Public Health Order and physical distancing must be maintained. There also needs to be increased sanitation, signage that encourage distancing, advice for payment options and it can only be a single house-hold sale. Group garage sales aren’t permitted at this time.
Starting July 21, modifications come into effect for:
Drive-in theatres: reducing distance between vehicles to two metres, down from five metres.
Retail guidelines, libraries and places of worship: reducing the length of time that returned or donated items must be held to 24 hours, down from 72 hours.
Fitness facilities: permitting 24-hour access to fitness facilities, and ensuring registration of guests to facilitate contact tracing, if required.
Campgrounds: laundry facilities are now able to open following new guidelines for safe operation.
