The Delisle Pride continue to roll along into the final day of preliminary play at the Canadian Under-19 Men’s Fastpitch-Softball Championship in Owen Sound, Ontario.
Delisle won two more games Thursday to improve to 6-0…the only unbeaten team amongst the 12 in the field. The Saskatoon Selects won a game to improve to get in the win column at 1-4. Their late game Thursday was suspended with Colchester, Nova Scotia leading 7-0. The Shellbrook Rangers split two games Thursday and are 2-4.
Elsewhere, at the Canadian Under-14 Girls event in Montreal, the Saskatoon Raiders went 1-1 on Thursday and are 2-2 overall…tied for sixth place in the 21-team field. The Melfort Spirit are 0-4 after two setbacks Thursday.
Meanwhile, Saskatchewan were shutout in both their games Thursday at the Baseball Canada Cup in Regina for athletes aged 17-and-under. The host province is 1-3, tied for third place in Pool A.
