The final layer of asphalt is being laid down along Central Avenue between Attridge Drive and McOrmond Drive beginning Monday. Drivers should expect lane restrictions at the intersection of Central Avenue and Attridge Drive for up to four days. Once paving there is complete, work will continue north on Central to McOrmond Drive. Traffic accommodation will be in place at various locations on Central for about four weeks, if everything goes as planned. The city says that leaving the final layer of asphalt off of a new roadway until a year or two after it has been in use is a common asset management practice. Saskatoon Transit may be affected.
