What Saskatchewan R-C-M-P Traffic Services called, “two very busy days” happened in North Battleford late last week with the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program.
S-T-E-P was in place on July 23 and 24 in North Battleford, with several police and municipal agencies from across the province taking part. As a result, a total of 300 tickets were issued, mostly under the Traffic Safety Act and Vehicle Equipment Regulations. Of those 300 tickets, 152 were for speeding, 55 for failing to stop at a stop sign or traffic light, 19 for seatbelt-related violations and 11 for cell phone violations.
