Loon Lake RCMP say there was a single vehicle rollover at 5 o’clock Monday afternoon and a 15 year old boy died. RCMP say the van was carrying four people, heading east on Treatment Centre Road. Police say witnesses told them it was travelling at high speeds on the gravel road and lost control rolling several times.

The driver and front passenger were ejected. The passenger, a 15 year old girl, was taken to hospital in Saskatoon by air ambulance for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A 14 year old boy and a 14 year old girl who were in the back seat were taken to hospital in Meadow Lake with minor injuries. The vehicle was seized for further investigation and it is not believed alcohol was a factor at this time although the investigation is ongoing.
