The Saskatchewan Research Council says its economic impact assessment shows $901 million in direct economic benefits to the province. The SRC calls it a record achievement. The council says its work contributed to the creation or maintenance of 7,515 jobs in the province valued at $552 million.
Minister Responsible Jeremy Harrison says, “SRC works on dynamic projects that provide technical and research solutions in multiple sectors across the province.”
SRC President and CEO Mike Crabtree says, “For every dollar invested in SRC by the provincial government last year, a 45-times returns was achieved and delivered back to the province.”
