Regina Police say a 48 year-old man has been charged with uttering threats after allegedly leaving threatening voice-mail messages at the Legislative office of the Premier.
The investigation began on August 10, after Regina police were alerted by the RCMP to a series of phone voice-mail messages, made to the Premier’s Legislative office, on August 8th. On Monday, investigators learned of another incident on August 8, in which similar threatening phone messages were left with a non-government agency.
Monday police arrested 48 year-old Ernest R. Miller of Regina who is charged with Uttering Threats. Miller was released on an Undertaking to appear in Provincial Court on September 2. The premier’s office is refusing to comment apart from acknowledging the threats, because the matter is before the courts.
