Environment Canada has a heat warning out for Regina, Saskatoon, Humboldt, Kindersley, Martensville, Outlook, Prince Albert and The Battlefords areas.
Saskatoon Emergency Management recommends limiting time spent in direct heat, drinking plenty of water, and keeping your pets out of parked cars.
Val Marie was the hotspot not only in Saskatchewan but also in Canada at 37.9 degrees on Tuesday. Saskatoon peaked at 35.3 and it was a record breaker. The old record was 34.8 set in 1991. There are heat advisories across the province again today.Environment Canada says numerous daily record highs were set, including a few dating back to 1919. Another hot day is expected on Wednesday, and on Thursday in some parts of the province, before temperatures drop back down to normal values for this time of year.
