SEIU-West members are outside of health care facilities in Wilkie and Biggar today (wed) to demonstrate their frustration with the pace of bargaining and the Saskatchewan government’s refusal to negotiate, what they call, a fair deal. President Barbara Cape says, “Our members were tired, and burned out prior to the pandemic, and they’ve held up their end of the deal to provide skilled professional care that bent the infection rate of COVID-19.” She says it’s time for SAHO and the Sask Party government to do the same.
Demonstrators are in Wilkie from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm and will be in Biggar from 2:30 TO 4:00.
