The hot spot in Saskatchewan on Wednesday was once again the hot spot in the country as well. And set a new record. It was Weyburn where the day time high was 37.9 degrees breaking the old record of 35.6 set in 1960. Several locations were in the 37 degree range on Wednesday including Assiniboia, Yellow Grass, Indian Head and Estevan. In Saskatoon the mercury reached 32.2 degrees and the city is also under a heat advisory for Thursday. Heat advisories pretty much blanket the southern half of the entire province.
