The Spiritwood and District Health Complex is open for emergency care as the phone, cell phone and internet service outage continues. The Saskatchewan Health Authority says anyone experiencing a medical emergency can get help at the Emergency Centre from 8 to 8 or at Spiritwood Ambulance Care which will be staffed 24 hours a day during the outage with medical first responders. If all else fails go to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police detachment building.
Some of the services that may be interrupted during the outage include medical appointments, online or by phone as well as booking of new home care and public health appointments.
Yesterday morning around 10 the Spiritwood RCMP sent out an alert saying there was no 911 service in the area after a SaskTel building in Spiritwood caught fire. All local SaskTel services including phone, internet and cellular have been lost and it does affect 911.
