A social media post has resulted in a weapons charge against a 14-year-old boy.

Saskatoon Police went to a home on the 700-block of 1st Avenue East at around 8 o’clock Tuesday night after learning a teenage boy posted a picture of himself online holding a shotgun.

Police say officers found the weapon in the garage of the residence.

The 14-year-old is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.
