Wide spread frost is due up across the province Monday night.
Dan Fulton with environment Canada says a cold front moved through the province early on Sunday and on Monday night will see clear skies and a ridge of high pressure building into the Saskatoon area. He says very cool air coming from the north will see temperatures drop below zero Monday night, including -4 in Saskatoon.
Fulton suggests cold snaps in September are pretty common, and while getting down to below zero at this time is a bit unusual, it’s not unheard of.
Fulton says while it might be a good idea to bring in or cover plants tonight, there should be a fairly quick rebound. A southwest flow should bring temperatures up Tuesday and highs will be back to the mid 20s by mid-week and lows will get back to the plus side, with mid-single digit temperatures,
