The smoke wafting in from fires on the U.S west coast shouldn’t pose many problems as far as air quality goes.
Sara Hoffman at the weather office says the smoke is traveling northeastward. But the weather pattern is forecast to change again late tomorrow, which should push it south of the border.
She says the smoke is so far up in the atmosphere, it shouldn’t be too detectable. However, it’s possible we could end up smelling it. Hoffman says the best chance of that would be Tuesday afternoon when we have a cold front swing through.
She does say once the cold front passes, there’s a good chance the smoke could return later this week.
