Two people are dead, a 14 year old boy who was trying to intervene in a shooting incident at Candle Lake on Saturday night and a 49 year old man who police believe was responsible.
Saskatchewan RCMP were alerted around 10 Saturday night that someone at a home on Industrial Drive in Candle Lake had been shot.
A 14 year old boy was found with apparent gunshot wounds and was declared dead on scene by EMS.
There were 3 other people at the home.
Officers were told a man with a firearm was assaulting a female when the others tried to intervene and tragically, the boy was shot.
The suspect was disarmed by another man and he fled.
RCMP say he went to another home on Steen Place, so emergency crews responded and then around 6 in the morning the 49 year old was found dead inside from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Those in the area may notice the 2 homes are still taped off for further investigation.
The autopsies are being conduced by the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service today (Mon).
