Two more Saskatoon schools have positive cases of COVID-19. Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools says in a statement that St. Mark School and Bethlehem Catholic High School each have one confirmed case of the novel coronavirus. To protect the privacy of these individuals, the school division isn’t releasing any other details including whether it is a student or a teacher.
The statement also says these cases early in the school year remind us that we all have a shared responsibility to decrease the risk of COVID-19 entering schools. Students and families are reminded to be diligent in performing the safety protocols.
Three other schools in the division were reported to have a confirmed case of the virus earlier this week, at Holy Cross and St. Joseph High School and at Ecole St. Peter School.
The letters sent to parents are again indicating that Public Health will be contacting parents/caregivers of students and any staff/visitors/volunteers who may have been in close contact with the case and will provide direction. But if you don’t hear from them that means your child has not been exposed.
