The return to school means a return to school zone speed limits, but that appears to have hard to remember for some motorists in Prince Albert.
P-A Police say they handed out 75 tickets for speeding in the first week after classes resumed. That was part of a safety blitz between Sepember 8th and 16th that included high-visibility enforcement and road safety patrols in school zones throughout the city. In addition, numerous drivers were cautioned about U-Turns in school zones, something that is no longer permitted between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, due to a recent change in the city’s traffic bylaws.
