A 46 year-old man from Kelliher has been arrested and is facing two charges including one for uttering threats.

On Thursday, Melville RCMP received complaints about racist and threatening comments made on Facebook by a person claiming to be an RCMP officer.

As police investigated the context of the comments, it was determined consisted of uttering threats of bodily harm and personation of a peace officer. Patrick Kuhns is set to make his first court appearance on September 16th.

The matter is still under investigation and police say if you receive a message that contains threats to harm yourself or someone else, contact your local detachment.
