An unidentified player with the Melfort Mustangs of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has tested positive for COVID-19.
The player and his close contacts have been identified by the local public health office and advised to self-isolate. Saskatchewan Health Authority case and contact protocols and guidelines have been and are being followed, according to a joint news release from the S-J-H-L, the Mustangs and the City of Melfort. The release adds that there has been limited contact in the community. None of the organizations will be making further comment at this time.
