The federal government is committing $10 billion in funding through the Canada Infrastructure Bank for targeted infrastructure projects.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was asked, given this is part of $35 billion used to set up the bank, if this is new money, and if it’s being pledged to old promises…..
Trudeau says the infrastructure bank was set up with money allocated to it, years ago. He says, what they are announcing is how they are going to use those funds to draw in capital on a range of projects across the country.
The prime minister says this funding could create 60 thousand jobs across the country .
