The NDP leader wants Scott Moe to answer for Saskatoon Eastview candidate, Daryl Cooper. It’s in reference to a Letter to the Editor from 2017 where he stated that SaskTel should be privatized, is not an essential service, should be sold, at the very minimum 49% of it. At the time he valued SaskTel at $4 to $6 billion dollars and suggested it could be called the Tommy Douglas Legacy Fund to help pay for the incoming rising costs of health care, the mentally ill, homeless and working poor.
The NDP draws the line from the 2017 letter to Darryl Cooper being a Scott Moe candidate to it putting all the Crowns at risk. On Saturday Daryl Cooper offered his resignation to the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Party. In a statement the Saskatchewan Party said the resignation was accepted and that a new candidate would be named in the coming days.
