The only team Saskatoon G-Force couldn’t beat in nine games was the defending champions at the Canadian Women’s Fastpitch-Softball Championship.
The Calahoo Erins downed the Saskatchewan reps 5-3 in Sunday’s final in St. John’s, Newfoundland…the third time in as many games that the Edmonton-area team beat G-Force during the tournament.
Elsewhere, on the Softball Canada Championship trail, the Twin City Angels won a playoff game before bowing out at the Under-19 Women’s Championship in Kitchener, Ontario. The Warman-based team was 4-4 while the Saskatoon Selects were 3-5, losing out in their first playoff contest. Meanwhile, at the Canadian Under-16 Girls Championship in Calgary, both the Saskatoon Phantoms and Prince Albert Aces fell out of contention in their first playoff games.
