With the help of Police Service Dog Kal, Prince Albert Police have arrested an 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man following a shooting that took place in Prince Albert on Sunday evening.
At 6:20 p.m., police responded to the intersection of 28th Street and 6th Avenue East after reports of a man being shot and the suspects had fled in a vehicle. Shortly afterwards, police received reports of erratic driving from the same vehicle and soon found the vehicle travelling at high speeds near 15th Avenue and 4th street East where it collided with a parked vehicle and a fence.
The suspects attempted to flee on foot, but were apprehended. They are facing numerous charges, including attempted murder, and will appear in court later this week. A 31-year-old man who was shot was taken to hospital in Saskatoon.
