The University of Saskatchewan reports that they have been notified by Saskatchewan Health Authority that a member of the university community has tested positive for COVID-19. Based on class schedule, the individual has not been on campus since Oct. 1.
The positive case is currently isolated to the College of Medicine and SHA is completing the contact tracing process to identify and notify all individuals who may have been exposed to COVID-19.
All individuals identified through contact tracing have been provided with instructions for completing COVID-19 testing and 14-day self-isolation. Those required to self-isolate includes any identified close contacts living in university residences.
At this time the university says it doesn’t believe there are any other risks to members of the university community.
