An unattended candle left in a main floor bedroom caused about $250,000 of damage at a house fire Friday morning according to the fire investigator.
Just after 9, the Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a 2-storey home in the 600 block of Avenue F North, arriving in less than 4 minutes.
Those in the home had evacuated after being alerted by a smoke alarm.
The Fire Department says fire crews took a hose line to the exterior fire while another crew entered the building to search and confirm no one was left inside.
