A 22 year old woman was attacked walking home from the bus stop last night in Saskatoon’s Evergreen neighbourhood.
When police arrived at the scene around 11 o’clock Monday night at a home in the 800 block of Sauer Lane, a 22 year old woman was washing bear spray from her eyes with the help of Medavie Health Services.
She told police she was approached from behind by possibly two people when one of them, who could have been female, said something, sprayed bear spray in her face, then tried to steal her backpack. She wouldn’t let go and was then hit in the head before managing to run to safety.
The possible female suspect is described as having her face covered and only her eyes exposed. The victim and her assailant are not believed to be known to each other. If you have any information about this attack you are asked to contact Saskatoon Police or Crime Stoppers.
