The provincial NDP says the Government of Saskatchewan’s decision to cut the number of people at private gatherings in half, highlights the need for smaller class sizes. Regina Lakeview candidate Carla Beck says while gathering sizes in homes are being reduced to 15, the cuts by Scott Moe and the Sask. Party means kids and teachers are still crammed into classrooms of 35 or more. The NDP says if they are elected the party commits to hiring 1-thousand teachers, 750 educational assistants and 400 custodial staff.
