Colin Prang says his main priority is the budget. He says 2020 has hit the city pretty hard and the 2021 budget needs to reflect that.
Prang is running for city council in Ward 3 and wants to focus on core services and aging infrastructure, while building sustainable infrastructure and preserving what we have. Prang wants to see thorough public engagement during any large projects done by the city.
Prang is a civil engineer and has 15 years of experience working for the City of Saskatoon, his most recent role being the manager of surface infrastructure preservation. His role included managing budgets and treatment selections for roads, bridges, sidewalks and back lanes.
As Ward 3 Councilor, Prang says he will guide administration to support innovation, technology, and continuous improvement to reduce long-term costs.
Prang says in recent years Saskatoon’s urban forest has been hit hard and died off in places, he would like to see an investment to beautify the city.
Prang aims for a beautiful, prosperous and sustainable Saskatoon, that he and his children can be proud of.
