On Friday the Prince Albert Police Service say they were notified that a member of the police service had tested positive for COVID-19.
P.A. Police say the officer has been isolating at home since Monday (October 12th) and is following all recommended guidelines from the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
The Prince Albert Police Service is cooperating with a contact tracing investigation currently underway by the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The police service say they will continue to adhere to recommended health guidelines, and will be taking steps to sanitize and disinfect both police locations over the weekend.
The Prince Albert Police Service state they will continue to work closely with the Saskatchewan Health Authority on contact tracing and will continue to keep the public informed. The identity of the member affected, however, will not be released to the public to protect the member’s privacy and further health updates will not be provided.
