Word came down around 8 p.m. last night that there was going to be an increased police presence west and north of Prince Albert with RCMP on the hunt for Jade Ermine.

Efforts to locate the 30 year old man got underway at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon and during the search an RCMP member was injured and taken to hospital. There is no indication how the officer was was hurt but the injuries were not life threatening.

RCMP say if anyone sees Ermine or has information on his whereabouts, do not approach him, but call RCMP or 9-1-1 immediately. Ermine was last seen wearing a black jacket and dark pants with a white stripe.
