Rob Norris is running for mayor and says for decades now, he’s built a professional track record of promoting Saskatoon and its families, economy and culture across Canada and the world.
Norris says after knocking on doors and listening to residents, his goal if elected, is to ensure that Saskatoon is safer, more affordable, prosperous and welcoming. Norris adds he’s put forward a platform that supports capping annual property tax increases at just 1 percent. He stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the Saskatoon Police, Fire, and protective services and will aim to address downtown safety concerns, reduce annual fees for businesses, and has pledged to act as the Chief Growth Officer for the City of Saskatoon.
Norris suggests he has represented thousands of Saskatoon families as the provincial MLA for Saskatoon Greystone from 2007-2015, he was a provincial cabinet minister, and a senior advisor at the University of Saskatchewan and Canadian Light Source. He says the variety of professional and political experience he brings to the table is very unique and he and the people who asked him to run believe that to be an asset.
