An Estevan man is facing child porn charges after a n investigation by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit.
Numerous complaints started coming in this past August of internet activity and making child pornography available through several different social media platforms.
Wednesday members of the ICE Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Estevan that was identified as a location where the alleged offences were occurring. Police say they seized child pornography, a mobile phone and a computer which would undergo further forensic analysis.
30 year old Kyle Mansil Fiddler of Estevan was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography, Transmits Child Pornography and Failing to Comply with an Order of Prohibition. He will be in court again on October 27th.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
