The Saskatchewan NDP have settled in to once again be the official provincial opposition.

NDP Leader Ryan Meili spoke from NDP Headquarters at the Delta Marriott in Saskatoon, taking the time to praise his campaign team. He suggests they put together one of the best campaigns he has ever seen, with so many hours and so much passion. Meili thanked the 61 candidates that put their names on ballots and knocked on countless doors.

Meili conceded the early results of the election saying while this time it wasn’t enough, he had just got off the phone with Scott Moe to congratulate him. He says he offered to Moe that where they can agree, they can always work together but where they disagree he will always be straight with the Premier and Saskatchewan. Meili accepted that the NDP will be an opposition once again, but he believes they will be the strongest opposition the province has seen in years.
