The Prince Albert Police Service suspects a supply of fentanyl may be circulating in that city.
A news release from the P.A. Police Service says it could be in various bright colours and looks similar to crack cocaine.
Information provided to the police is that this Fentanyl is being described as “pebbles”
Some drug dealers mix fentanyl with other drugs such as heroin, meth, cocaine and MDMA.
The Police Service says fentanyl is so powerful that just a small amount can cause severe illness or death and just a few grains can be fatal.
The warning from the police is that drugs or medications should only be taken as prescribed by a medical practitioner.
Anyone witnessing an overdose sold call 911 immediately.
