As of Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m., Rosthern RCMP, local EMS and Fire Departments are on scene of a serious collision involving a vehicle and a train that occurred on the Highway 312 and Railway Ave crossing in the town of Rosthern.

Highway 312 is blocked in both directions for an undetermined amount of time. Officers are advising motorists to plan alternate routes and avoid the area, if possible. Officers are reminding motorists to slow down to 50 km/h when passing emergency vehicles.

A Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist is on route. RCMP will provide an update once the highway reopens.
