Saskatchewan Polytechnic is working with external experts and law enforcement to determine the extent of a cyber security incident and to safely restore systems.
Classes, both online and in-person, were cancelled on Monday and that continues through Wednesday.
CEO and president, Dr. Larry Rosia, says he wants to assure students, their families, employees and industry partners that they will be kept informed and the first priority is to restore the online learning environment.
A few operating platforms and services have been restored including email, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom and Kaltura, which is a video cloud platform.
Employees have been instructed to install next-generation antivirus and endpoint detection and response software.
Dr. Rosia says there is no reason to believe any personal information has been compromised.
As information becomes available, it will be posted at www.campusupdate.ca
