The election office has added City Hall as a location to return mail-in ballots.
Voters are strongly encouraged to make a plan to cast their ballot before a predicted severe winter storm this weekend at any of the advanced polls and should anticipate wait times. Polls are scheduled to be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to vote in-person on Election Day, November 9. Voters, who received their mail-in ballot packageon or afterNovember 2, should plan to drop it off in-person or have a designate drop it off for them.
Information provided to the candidates from the Saskatoon Elections returning office indicates they are experiencing staffing challenges due to concerns over COVID-19 with numbers of people having backed out of working advance polls and election day polls. More challenges are expected if as much snow arrives as is being predicted on the weekend. As well turn out at advance polls has been high especially Wednesday and wait time as much as two hours is expected today (thurs). If you follow Twitter, the city is sending out messages periodically regarding length of line ups at Advance Polls.
