The accident that occurred this morning on Hanselman Avenue and 45th Street was fatal. A 20 year old man, a pedestrian, was pronounced deceased at hospital. His next of kin have been notified. The 33 year old driver of the vehicle was assessed by Medavie Health Services and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident. Members of the Collision Analyst Unit are still investigating but are no longer at the scene and traffic restrictions have been lifted.
