The City of Saskatoon says there are approximately 216,000 eligible voters for the 2020 Saskatoon Civic election. Just under 20,000 people cast ballots at the Advance Polls this week. That is an increase of 5,000 advance poll voters over the 2016 election and equivalent to a 33% increase. At the 2020 advance poll that is equal to 9.3% of the total voter turnout. In 2016 approximately 7.5% of total voter turnout took place at the advance polls. The civic election is Monday, November 9th. And the final, official count from the October 26th provincial election, which will provide a decisive victory in ridings where the vote was close, is tomorrow (sat).
