The government is reporting 181 new cases on Sunday and two more deaths with 62 people in hospital. Both deaths were residents from the North Central zone. One person was in their 20s and the other in their 80s. Thirty-one people have now died with COVID-19 in Saskatchewan since the pandemic began.
With Sunday’s new cases Saskatchewan has now breached five thousand for cases to date of COVID-19. Of the 5001 cases in total in Saskatchewan, 1,807 are considered active; 549 of the active cases are in Saskatoon and 344 are in Regina. Of the 62 people in hospital, 16 are in intensive care.
There are nine new cases each in the Far North West and North Central, seven in the Far North East, 16 in the North West, Saskatoon has 64 while Regina reports 28. There is one -a-piece in South West and Central East, Central West has two, Southeast has 18 and Central South has ten. There are also ten cases pending residence information.
With 308 cases of COVID 19 reported on Saturday, there have been 489 new cases of COVID-19 this past weekend in Saskatchewan.
