The Consumer Price Index was up 0.7 per cent in Canada in October compared to a year ago. Statistics Canada says, if you take gasoline out of the equation, the CPI rose one per cent. That’s because of a year-over-year decline in gas prices of 12.4 per cent. Saskatchewan’s inflation rate was up 0.5 per cent. In Saskatoon, it rose 0.9 per cent and in Regina, 0.4 per cent.
