The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra is asking it’s audience to enjoy the show from the safety of their own homes.
The SSO says with the recent increase of COVID-19 cases in the province, they will be shifting from a live concert and streaming hybrid to only live streaming for the near future.
Executive director Mark Turner says while technically the could still go on, they are being extremely conscious of not putting anyone at risk needlessly and that’s why they are moving to online-only concerts for now. He adds the ultimate goal will be to return to having a live audience in the concert hall, but for now this is the safest way to deliver the quality performances audiences have come to know and love.
The SSO’s next performance is Saturday night with “A Visit to Vienna” at 7:30 p.m.
