Five people from North Battleford have been arrested and face multiple drug and weapons charges following two unrelated search warrants being executed in the early morning hours of November 21 in that city by the North Battleford R-C-M-P Gang Task Force, the North Battleford R-C-M-P Municipal General Investigation Section and the Saskatchewan R-C-M-P Emergency Response Team.
Forty-four-year-old Sheldon Johnstone, 27-year-old Blake Johnstone and 18-year-old Sierra Stone were taken into custoday following the first warrant, which was executed at about 4 a.m. at a residence in the 1800 block of St. Laurent Drive. Three other people were released after being questioned. The search resulted in the seizzure of a firearm, ammunition, about three grams of suspected crystal meth, about 500 dollars in cash, brass knuckles and a knife (pictured).
The second search warrant was executed at about 5:45 a.m., with the added help of Police Dog Services, at a residence on the 10,000 block of Scott Drive. A pair of 22-year-old females were arrested…Kage Pooyak and Teshina Nahbexie. Police found about nine-point-eight pounds, or 4.45 kilograms, of prepackaged cocaine in vacuum-sealed bags, about 350 grams of marijuana, a loaded firearm and more than $25,000 in cash. Two other males were released without charges (pictured below).
The investigations in the aftermath of both search warrants are continuing.
