The Truly Alive Youth and Family Foundation has teamed up with the Canadian Red Cross to develop a mobile app that will help provide information to Saskatoon’s most vulnerable sectors.
The “Refresh” App will provide support for newcomers, refugees, Indigenous communities, and those recognized as being apart of Ethnocultural groups in categories like health, finances, family and wellness.
Executive Director, Anthony Olusola, says organizations that offer traditional or non-traditional social and human services are all listed on the app. From intervention to counseling or newcomer services, Olusola states sometimes all people need is just to know there are organizations or groups out there that look like them, speak like them and understand their cultural realities.
The app is available on Android and iOS systems, and Olusola says there is no better time to bring support and intervention services closer to people across Saskatoon communities.
