A handful of cities will see protests Tuesday calling on the federal government to free Meng Wanzhou. Meng is an executive with the company Huawei and is being held in Canada because of a United States extradition request on fraud charges. Tuesday is the second anniversary of her detention. A coalition of peace organizations is calling for her release. Ken Stone of the Hamilton Coalition to Stop the War, says, “The Canadian government should not engage in hostage diplomacy at the behest of the Trump administration.” In Saskatchewan, there is a protest scheduled for noon at the Government of Canada Building in Regina, sponsored by the Regina Peace Council.
