Regina Police say an investigation into the death of a woman on Tuesday is underway. Investigators say they have not found any evidence of criminal wrongdoing and have moved into a support role, with the Coroners Service leading the investigation.
Around 7:30 Tuesday morning, police received a call of a sick or injured person in front of a building in the 1300 block of 23rd Avenue. Police and EMS found the woman lying, unresponsive, in the snow. EMS confirmed she was deceased. Officers confirmed her identity and her next-of-kin were notified. Her name is not being released at this time.
This investigation will continue in order to determine the circumstances of the woman’s death.
