Saskatoon Police say a woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon following an attempted armed robbery.
Around one o’clock, patrol officers responded to a robbery in-progress in the 300 block of Confederation Drive. It was reported that a female suspect had entered an SUV in the parking lot, and forced the female owner out of the vehicle at knife-point. The victim complied but the suspect was unsuccessful in the theft and fled on foot.
Patrol officers quickly located a suspect in the 100 block of Confederation Drive. She was arrested without incident and allegedly found to be concealing a knife. Police say they found stolen property in her possession.
A 23-year-old woman is charged with Robbery, Possession of a Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime Under $5000, and Breach of Probation.
