Municipal elections will be held in the fall of 2020 and leading up to that, the Saskatoon Municipal Wards Commision has 3 options for changes to the ward boundaries. The City is divided into 10 wards and each must be close to the same population with no more than 10 per cent variance.
There was a public meeting in July for feedback and an online survey continues.
Four wards need changes. Population in wards 5 and 8 has increased and decreased in wards 7 and 10.
The option with the fewest moves has Silverspring moving from ward 10 to 5, Wildwood from ward 9 to 8, Eastview from 7 to 9 and Brevoort Park from ward 8 to 6. You can click on the link with this story to check out all of the options.
There will be a second public consultation on the boundary options on September 25th at City Hall from 7 to 9 p.m.
